2. CHKDSK
CHKDSK is also known as Check Disk, its Windows command and its function is to checks your hard disk for errors and attempts to fix them. It checks the integrity of the file system and fixes any error, including repairing bad clusters. Check Disk (CHKDSK) also scans for physical errors on the surface of the hard disk and attempts to repair them. You should regularly do this to keep your hard drive in good shape and avoid any sudden crash.

To run CHKDSK on Windows 7 Follow this steps below..
>>Go to My Computer
>>Right-click on your hard drive and select Properties

>>Hit the Start button, you should be told "the process can’t be executed while Windows is running".

Depending on the size of your hard disk, it may take over one hour to complete the whole. If there are errors, you should see them logged on your screen while they got fixed along with it
NOTE: You might be unable to use your computer while the process is running.

4. Update the operating system

6. Always do a clean up inside and around the physical machine
