HOW TO GET AMBIENT DISPLAY FEATURE ON ANY ANDROID DEVICE

Ambient Display a new feature that comes with most recent android devices, like the Motorola g series, nexus series and some other devices with AMOLED display!

It's simply a feature that turns on the display for a few second after receiving a notification (could be missed calls, texts and others).

You can also access it by swiping your hand from the top of your screen (where your proximity sensor lies).

It's a really handy feature for those who just wants to quickly glance through a notification.

This guide will help you enable the ambient display feature on your android device running on lollipop and above!

This has been tested by me on lollipop and marshmallow based ROMs, you can test it on others! (Do at your own risk!!!!)

YOU WOULD NOTICE IN SOME CUSTOM ROMS THAT THIS FEATURE IS ALREADY THERE UNDER DISPLAY SETTINGS OR SETTINGS DASHBOARD, BUT IT DOESN'T WORK EVEN WHEN ENABLED. THIS GUIDE WILL ACTIVATE IT FOR YOU!

TOOLS NEEDED:
      ▶Root access

      ▶Custom recovery installed

      ▶XPOSED FRAMEWORK from HERE

      ▶Ambient display Module from HERE
(you can also get it within the Xposed
Application).

So let's begin.

▶Boot into recovery, install the xposed framework zip you downloaded
(Download the one according to your device)

▶Then install the xposed apk file you downloaded

      ▶Install the ambient display module!

▶Open xposed then tap on modules

  ▶Tick the ambient display module

 ▶Reboot!

▶Open the ambient display module xposed (doesn't show in app drawer)

▶Then set screen brighteness to 50%

▶Switch on the "Activate doze with proximity sensor"

  ▶Close app!

▶Go to settings, for those that didn't have this feature before will notice that it now shows under Display in settings.

      ▶Enable it there.

▶For those who have it enabled already, disable it and enable it again.

      ▶Then reboot!

      ▶Done.

      ▶TO TEST!

▶OPEN THE AMBIENT DISPLAY MODULE THEN PRESS OPTIONS AND RUN TEST

OR

▶SIMPLY LOCK YOUR DEVICE WITH POWER BUTTON, THEN

▶SWIPE OVER YOUR PROXIMITY SENSOR

OR

▶LOCK YOUR DEVICE AND WAIT FOR NOTIFICATIONS TO COME

      ▶ENJOY AMBIENT DISPLAY!!!!
